Alan Waxman is a Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Sixth Street, based in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Sixth Street in 2009, Alan was a partner at Goldman Sachs where he was co-head and chief investment officer of the firm's largest proprietary investing group. While at Goldman Sachs, he founded and led a number of the firm's proprietary investing franchises.

Alan received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
