Jamie Gates

Jamie Gates is a Partner and Co-Founder of Sixth Street, based in San Francisco. He focuses on capital formation and strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining Sixth Street in 2009, Jamie was a partner at TPG focused on capital formation and new business development, and a partner and executive vice president at Starwood Capital Group. Earlier, he worked in Goldman Sachs Investment Banking, including as an executive director in London.

Jamie received a B.S. in Biology and Psychology with distinction from DePauw University and a J.D. with honors from Indiana University School of Law.
