Peter Schancupp

Peter Schancupp is a Managing Director at Sixth Street, based in New York. He leads the firm’s Asset Based Finance legal function.

Prior to joining Sixth Street in 2022, Peter was a managing director at Cerberus where he specialized in structured finance and oversaw the RMBS and SFR securitization programs in the U.S. and Europe. Earlier, he was a vice president and transaction manager for the Residential Trading and Finance businesses at Credit Suisse.

Peter received a B.S. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
