Explore more about Sixth Street Real Estate.
Marcos Alvarado: Sixth Street's approach to real estate investing, it's kind of core to the DNA of what the firm's been doing since 2009.
Julian Salisbury: Sixth Street is a firm built by investors, led by investors, and we really are an investment first organization.
Giulio Passanisi: It's One Team. We combine real estate expertise with sector expertise.
We start looking for markets where there is dislocation, and then we come up with our flexible capital.
Alessandro Castellani Ricci: What really differentiates us is our ability to invest in complex situations at scale.
Marcos Alvarado: Given our relative value lens, we were sort of able to avoid that frenzy of 21 in 22.
Giulio Passanisi: After 2023, we saw a reset and then we started reinvesting at scale. And so 24, 25 were actually great deployment years for us.
Marcos Alvarado: We're not defensive in what we do. We're entirely offensive.
Julian Salisbury: And this is an environment we love, because we can really take advantage of that run to the fire, look at opportunities when others are fearing it.
Giulio Passanisi: We favor durable demand and constrained supply. So a trophy asset is not just an address anymore. That could be an urban logistic facility. It can be a care home, it can be a data center.
Marcos Alvarado: Being part of a global platform is a huge edge.
Alessandro Castellani Ricci: Hospitality in Italy and Spain, offices in Portugal and the U.K., healthcare in the U.K. and Germany.
Toni Elias: You have to be able to understand those cultures, speak those languages, and understand those different countries to be able to invest successfully.
Marcos Alvarado: There are clear sort of structural demands shifting kind of across geographies and across real estate asset classes. Today we have platforms across industrial, affordable housing, senior housing.
Alessandro Castellani Ricci: When it comes to housing, the supply demand imbalances make it very attractive for Sixth Street.
Marcos Alvarado: Effectively, we're perpetually short affordable housing. And so we expressed that theme in the U.S. by investing in a platform called L+M and we did the same thing in the U.K.
Billy Eichenholz: Senior housing for us could be the clearest demographic backdrop within all of real estate.
Marcos Alvarado: When we think about our luxury hospitality theme and the consumer, we always think about is ever expanding wealth creation. We've been investing in assets such as the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek or the Pier House in Key West.
Toni Elias: Logistics as a whole is a compelling theme and it's mainly driven by the growth of e-commerce.
Adam Rapport: I think today, just given how complicated the environment is, partners really want to find somebody that is going to be able to work with them through complicated and difficult transactions.
Giulio Passanisi: More than Capital means being a good partner, being an active partner, bringing global expertise to every investment we do.
Marcos Alvarado: In today's world, you have to be more than capital to be successful.
