Alex Katz and Jonathan Yaron on Kiteworks' Partnership with Sixth Street

Jonathan Yoron: My name is Jonathan Yoron. I'm Chairman and CEO of Kiteworks. Kiteworks is the leading data protection company, that tracks and protects data that moves in and out of institutions.

Alex Katz: My name is Alex Katz. I'm a Managing Director on Sixth Street's Growth team. Kiteworks exhibits all of the attributes of a defensive growth profile that we look for in our portfolio companies. Number one, it caters to a large and growing market. Two, it has an outstanding financial profile with a combination of growth and profitability at scale. Excellent retention. Three, it has a category leading product that had outstanding feedback from customers. Above all, it's led by an outstanding team who are proven innovators.

Jonathan Yaron: August, 2024, that's when I really got to know Sixth Street much better, and they got to know me. That led to a wonderful relationship afterwards. Positively surprised in a couple of fronts. Clients that were in negotiation, Sixth Street, led by Alex, will actually go out of their way to help us to get in front of the right people who call the shots.

Second area, which is extremely natural, is M&A. We are an acquisitive company. Sixth Street has served, more than anyone else, as a support team to those acquisitions by running the models themself and telling us their opinion on them. Last but not least, Marty Chavez is interested in our AI strategy and I've given feedback and thoughts, not a lot of people in the world that have that capacity and knowledge to give valuable feedback. When it comes to AI strategy, which obviously now is everything. It will define who is a legacy company and who is here for stay. Alex has helped every single time to navigate through how to use the different parts of Sixth Street. There is a champion inside of the institution that is really making this institution work for us.
