Sixth Street and 60 Guilders Partner on $173 Million Acquisition of The Center Building in Long Island City

New York – June 29, 2022 – Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm, in partnership with 60 Guilders, a New York City-based real estate investor and manager, has completed the acquisition of The Center Building at 33-00 Northern Boulevard in Long Island City for approximately $173 million.

Built in 1915, The Center Building is a historic property with 559,000 square feet of commercial office space and nearby access to the E, M, R, N, and W subway lines. Major tenants include the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA), which is dedicated to fighting poverty as the largest social services agency in the United States, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
